Bio
I am a Historic Preservation Specialist with over ten years experience in the field. I spent almost five years working for ARCH (Architecture and Community Heritage)- a non-profit Preservation advocacy firm in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I have a M.S. in Historic Preservation from Ball State University; an AAS from Belmont Technical College, and have completed minors in Energy Management and Urban Planning. I have been certified as an Energy Auditor by the State of Indiana, a Green Building Professional by BuildIt Green, and served on the Board of Directors for the Iowa Renewable Energy Association. All of these experiences have culminated in the pursuit of my life’s ambition, promoting historic preservation as a tool for sustainable economic development. My professional interests include community revitalization, sustainable building practices, historic architecture, passive solar integration and LEED (EB and ND). In addition to the International Preservation Trades Workshop and Focus the Nation, I have presented sessions at the Midwest Renewable Energy Fair in Custer, Wisconsin on multiple years.
