The Preservation Trades Network is seeking proposals from organizations, communities, and preservation advocates interested in hosting the 2027/2028 International Preservation Trades Workshop (IPTW).

For nearly three decades, IPTW has brought together preservation craftspeople, contractors, educators, students, volunteers, and preservation enthusiasts to share skills, build connections, and help save historic places. More than just a conference, IPTW is a hands-on celebration of traditional trades and the people who keep them alive.

Every successful IPTW begins with a local champion.

Whether you represent a historic site, nonprofit organization, municipality, educational institution, or preservation group, hosting IPTW offers a unique opportunity to showcase your community, advance preservation goals, and welcome hundreds of preservation-minded visitors from across North America and beyond.

We're looking for host sites that can offer:
